Using an Operational Tool for Well Test Analysis in Complex Reservoirs

   Abstract 

Measurements of pressure, which are taken near the productive interval is usually assumed as the starting point for a transient analysis in the well test. These measurements are largely used in outlining properties of the reservoir rock and the limits of production in the rock formation. In order to figure out this subject, well test scientists have come up with definitions that vary from initial and average pressures in the reservoirs to drill stem test, and to interference in well testing. Very broadly, analysis in well test might include but aren't limited to type curve analysis; nonlinear regression; closed chamber drill stem test analysis; completion design and/or optimization reports; multi-layered analysis; conventional analysis; production analysis; reservoir and/or well performance projections, etc.
